Rari Foundation Q1 2025 Transparency Report

Dear Delegates,

Please find the RARI Foundation’s Q1 2025 Transparency Report

Disclaimer: This report, prepared by the RARI Foundation exclusively for informational purposes, is based on data from various service providers. It should not be used for making financial, legal, investment, business, tax, or other decisions. The information reflects the date of the report and may change. The Foundation reserves the right to modify or update the report as needed.

Operational and Financial Updates: In Q1, the RARI Foundation conducted a series of strategic workshops to realign its strategy with that of the DAO, resulting in a more focused scope centered on partnerships with key adopters of the Rarible Protocol - primarily Rarible. This strategic shift included streamlining operations and headcount. The Foundation was actively represented at ETH Denver through a booth, a panel at the main conference, and a discussion at the SheFi Summit, and also joined the Rarible team at NFT Paris. To amplify ecosystem visibility, the Foundation launched an X series spotlighting RARI contributors, with a particular focus on delegates, and began curating a roster of key opinion leaders. It also proposed a mechanism to collect multichain secondary fees for the Rarible Protocol and initiated the design of primary fees in response to DAO feedback. Additionally, the FY 2025 Transparency Report was released.

Future Initiatives & Q4 Outlook: Looking ahead, the Foundation plans to kick off the KOL program and onboard or extend loan partners to support treasury needs. The outcomes of Q1 strategic workshops will be formalized in coordination with the DAO. The Foundation will also continue advancing the DAO upgrade and supporting the migration of governance to the RARI chain, specifically by aiding in the implementation of staking, running an accompanying awareness campaign, and shepherding the transition to a multichain governance model.

Thanks for the Q1 Transparency report! Happy to see the Foundation present in important events like Eth Denver and Token 2049, would love to hear the recaps of these + insights.

Regarding future Q4 initiatives, do you refer to how the Foundation will look like in Q4 2025, or future perspective from Q4 2024?

Regarding financial outlook, besides distribution, it would be nice to see the total Foundation assets in either token or dollar value.

Thank you for publishing the Q1 2025 Transparency Report. While I appreciate the effort to share financials and internal initiatives, the actual outcomes are deeply disappointing and warrant a frank response – especially in light of the Foundation’s multimillion-dollar annual budget allocation.

Let’s start with governance:

RRC-42 had only four active delegates – the lowest in the protocol’s history. If this doesn’t ring alarm bells about the erosion of stakeholder engagement and governance legitimacy, I’m not sure what will. Governance without participants is just bureaucracy on life support.

Let’s talk metrics:

Despite Bitcoin entering new all-time highs, $RARI is trading near all-time lows, delisted by exchanges like Bitget, citing “poor project fundamentals and inactive community.” The platform’s market share and trading volume are negligible – and declining.

Let’s talk optics:

This Foundation draws millions per year from the treasury, yet continues to produce internal documents, host Twitter Spaces with ~20 listeners, and celebrate vague strategy workshops. Where’s the impact? Where are the new users? Where are the protocol integrations? Where is the real product traction?

This report reads more like a self-congratulatory status update than a reflection of urgency or responsibility. I say this as someone who was once deeply involved with this ecosystem – and left because nobody inside seemed willing to confront reality.

You owe it to the token holders and the protocol’s legacy to demand more from yourselves.
