TLDR
Villa is a Metaverse NFT collaboration platform, like Discord in 3D + NFTs, and one of only two that provide access to NFTs over Quest VR by Meta, which is 75% of the VR market worldwide. This sector is currently growing exponentially and we’re already seeing a huge demand surge at the intersection of Metaverse * NFTs. Quest only accepts Triple A titles and has a few hundred hand selected apps and we’re one of them. To try us out, install Villa on your Quest 2, and choose ‘NFT fan’ during onboarding for an extended free trial. This proposal outlines how we plan to use the Rarible protocol to enable users to transact with the Rarible system. Users will be able to mint, reserve, buy and sell Rarible NFTs over Villa.
Problem / Opportunity
The problem is that NFT assets are amazing to own, but tough to display, auction, collaborate, and socialize over. We make that not only simple, but extremely entertaining: Imagine a gallery made of a Rarible NFT, in which users exhibit NFTs for the ultimate Metaverse exhibitions in 3D, then invite their community to have an event such as an auction, concert, party, happy hour, offsite or place to just hang out and play games.

- Deliverable: Implement the Rarible Protocol for wallet integration enablement, surfacing rarible NFTs in VR

Phase 3:
- Deliverable: Implement Reserve/Buy/Sell functionality from VR to the users web account including wallet integration
- Payment: $50K
- Date: Feb 4, 2022
Phase 4:
- Deliverable: Minting NFTs as Rarible from Villa
- Payment: $10K
- Date: Feb 11, 2022

Use of funds
Funds will be used to pay a team of Web3 engineers to implement Rarible, and once implemented launched to production. Any spare funds will also go toward marketing of the partnership.
Business Model
Villa will enable the minting, buying, and selling of Rarible NFTs over our platform. We’ll take marketplace fees, and a percentage of royalties, all within market ranges and in a competitive structure so as not to exceed fee structures of other well known marketplaces while still distinguishing use cases relevant to the Metaverse such as ease of transitioning from VR to web.

Accountability
Our project will attend weekly community calls, and provide updates on our milestones as we make progress. In the event that we can’t fulfil our commitment, funds will be returned to Rarible DAO. We will also work with community members to ensure updates are distributed through the Rarible communication channels.
Why should Rarible DAO fund this?
By enabling Rarible transactions we’re able to give end users choice for Rarible NFTs: currently there’s only eth wallet integrations over Quest which involve high gas fee transactions. We hope that by enabling Rarible, we’ll put this protocol front and center in the Metaverse in VR, thereby making Rarible NFTs and transactions accessible in 3D
