Abstract
Following Impossible Finance’s acquisition of Rarible, Impossible Finance now owns and operates the entirety of Rarible’s technical infrastructure. Signer/owner access on 25 network addresses administering Rarible’s protocol contracts currently remains with Eugene ([@enacu]), Rarible’s former CTO. This proposal requests DAO approval to transfer that access to Impossible Finance’s designated infrastructure address(es), enabling Impossible Finance’s engineering team to independently ship security patches, upgrades, and maintenance across all supported chains
Motivation
Rarible’s protocol contracts are deployed and administered via multisig wallets (or, on a subset of chains, single-key EOAs) on 25 networks. Access to these addresses is currently held by Eugene Rarible’s former CTO who remains the sole party able to execute administrative actions on them. Since the acquisition, Impossible Finance’s engineering team has taken over all ongoing development and security response for the protocol, but has no direct access to the infrastructure it is responsible for. This creates both an operational bottleneck (every upgrade or fix depends on Eugene’s and RARI DAO members availability) and a security risk (critical access sits with someone outside the current operating organization). Transferring ownership to an Impossible Finance-controlled address removes both issues.
Rationale
This aligns with the DAO’s interest in Rarible’s continued security and uptime — infrastructure access should sit with the team currently building and maintaining the protocol, not with a former team member retained only as a courtesy holder. Consolidating control under Impossible Finance reduces key-person risk and response-time risk. The RARI Foundation has confirmed this transfer requires DAO approval and has indicated it will support the proposal through the voting process. Eugene has agreed to execute the transfer once approval is granted.

Steps to Implement
- Impossible Finance and Eugene ([@enacu]) jointly verify the address list above, resolving the Telos discrepancy, and confirm the receiving Impossible Finance address(es) before on-chain submission.
- For the 20 Safe-based multisigs, Eugene, as current signer, executes a Safe owner-swap adding the Impossible Finance-designated multisig as the new owner, then removes himself and any other prior signers.
- For the 5 EOA-controlled addresses (Arena-Z, Zilliqa, Hedera, Eclipse, Aptos), Eugene transfers ownership/executes a transaction handing control directly to the corresponding Impossible Finance-designated address.
- Given the single-key risk on the 5 EOA-controlled networks, Impossible Finance migrates these to a proper Safe multisig as a follow-up once received (out of scope for this vote, noted for the DAO’s awareness).
- Rarible/RARI DAO documentation updated to reflect the new owner on each of the 25 network addresses.
