RRC [XX] - Creating/Boosting the Meme Ecosystem on Rari Chain

Thank you for your feedback and questions @bitblondy ! I’m happy to provide more details about our development plans.

Regarding the enhanced features we want to implement with the grant: Our main focus is on improving both front-end and back-end performance. Currently, we rely heavily on on-chain operations, which can impact speed and user experience. We plan to implement a hybrid solution with off-chain indexing and caching to significantly improve transaction speeds and reduce latency.

For the UI improvements, we’re looking to enhance the trading interface with better charting tools, more detailed market analytics, and a more intuitive order placement system. We’re also planning to implement WebSocket connections for real-time price updates and order book changes.

Our team currently consists of two full-time developers (as mentioned in our documentation), with myself focusing on smart contract development and backend architecture, while my colleague handles frontend development and UI/UX. In the future, we’re also exploring NFT (ERC1155) trading functionality besides Meme coins, though this would be a later phase after we’ve optimized our core (meme coins) ERC20 trading features.

I completely agree with your suggestion for a tiered payout structure. We would be happy to modify our proposal to include that, depending on other people their feedback and thoughts onto that.

I believe this is a very affordable proposal in the term of ecosystem growth. With meme coins being the absolute hype right now in web 3, the very first meme coin on the Rari Chain already launched ($ROSS) and the switch of focus to DeFi, I believe we’re heading in the right direction with this.

Builders are going to build more applications on the Rari Chain and I believe its good to help eachother whereever we can.

You will have my support on this!

Thank you for putting up this proposal.

The Rari DAO should support builders and it is great to see these types of initiatives. As a bit of context: What was your first contact to Rari? Why did you decide building on Rari Chain?

I agree with @bitblondy that a tiered unlock makes more sense in this proposal, as the activity in the platform is near zero and we need to make sure DAO funds are spent wisely toward initiatives that drive growth in the chain.

I would suggest a milestone-based proposal with 50% upfront and 50% after completing certain reasonable KPIs.

Thank you for your feedback and suggestions! I appreciate the time you took to review my proposal and share your thoughts.

To answer your questions:
My first interaction with the Rari Chain was a few months ago when Forexus introduced me to it. I’ve always been interested in building something on Rari Chain, but initially, I wasn’t sure what to build. I did have another concept in mind that I plan to pursue in the future, but due to the low activity on the chain at the time, I decided to focus on something that could help increase engagement. That’s how Rumble came to life—a project inspired by the current hype around meme coins and something I genuinely enjoy creating.

I’ve observed plenty of other L1, L2, and even L3 chains launching, but many of them didn’t capture my interest due to the prevalence of spammers, scammers, and airdrop hunters. This contrast is what solidified my appreciation for the Rari Chain. It’s calm, community-driven, and fosters a positive and supportive environment. From what I’ve seen, the members here are humble, friendly, and genuinely committed to the chain’s success, which resonates strongly with me.

Thank you once again for your feedback. I’ll take the suggestions about a tiered unlock and milestone-based approach into account to ensure the proposal aligns with the DAO’s goals for growth and sustainability.

What is the source of liquidity? Can we briefly go into more detail about how virtual liquidity works. I really like this initiative, a pump.fun alternative for Rari Chain would be awesome!

Source of Liquidity & Virtual Liquidity

In Rumble.exchange, we use virtual liquidity to kickstart the trading experience. This means that instead of requiring users to manually provide liquidity (a process that’s increasingly less attractive these days), the system simulates an initial pool. For example, we seed the liquidity pool with a virtual equivalent, such as 0.5 ETH, which establishes a starting price per token. This ensures tokens have value and can be traded immediately without needing upfront liquidity from users.

The bonding curve takes care of adjusting the token’s price dynamically as trades occur, making the process seamless for users while maintaining fair pricing mechanics.

What Is Virtual Liquidity?

Imagine a marketplace where you want to trade items, but there’s nothing for sale yet because nobody has added anything. Virtual liquidity solves this problem by acting as if there’s already some inventory in the marketplace, even though it’s not real or owned by anyone.

In our case, virtual liquidity means we pretend there’s already some ETH (e.g., 0.5 ETH) in the trading pool from the start. This creates a starting price for the token so people can buy and sell right away.

Without this, users would have to deposit real funds to create liquidity themselves, which most people don’t want to do anymore. Virtual liquidity simplifies this, making trading easier and more accessible.

How Bonding Curves Work (in Simple Terms) y * x = k

Think of a bonding curve like a vending machine for tokens.

  1. Buy a Token: Every time someone buys a token, the “machine” increases the price slightly.
  2. Sell a Token: If someone sells, the price decreases slightly.

The price of the token depends on how many are currently in circulation:

  • More tokens sold = Higher price.
  • More tokens returned (sold back) = Lower price.

This approach ensures a transparent relationship between token supply and price. It’s automated and doesn’t rely on external liquidity providers, which simplifies trading and gives users confidence in fair pricing.

Thank you for the great question!
I’d be happy to discuss this in more detail and show how everything works in real time. I’m in our Discord server every day and available for a voice chat. I can even set up a live stream to walk you through the mechanics whenever it’s convenient for you. Let me know when you’d like to connect—looking forward to diving deeper!

I would like you to explain to us how you can evaluate the KPIs numbers assuming that you have a marketing plan, but I don’t see this in the proposal.

How will we work on increasing the number of Tokens Listed, Users and Community?

This is an impressive proposal, particularly given it’s first-mover advantage in relation to Rari’s meme growth.

To ensure sustained long-term user growth, I recommend prioritizing effective marketing and public relations strategies. This includes leveraging social media platforms, content marketing, and influencer partnerships to expand the it’s reach and attract new users.

Thanks for the feedback! Here’s how we’re approaching growth and hitting our KPIs, while staying aligned with the chain and focusing on organic development:

Community Engagement

We’re kicking things off with simple, fun activities like Twitter giveaways, trading competitions, and AMAs. These are great ways to build early momentum while keeping things manageable.

Content Marketing

We’ll release regular (video) content—like beginner guides (documentations) and platform updates (socials)—to help users get familiar with what we’re building. The focus is on creating value, not overwhelming noise.

Organic Growth

There’s no other platform like this right now (at Rari Chain), so we’re taking a measured approach, growing alongside the chain. We’ll be rolling out features steadily and using community feedback to guide updates.

How We’ll Grow

  • Token Listings: Clear and simple listing process, with highlighting of popular projects people created or care about.
Active Users: Focused on attracting organic users who are genuinely interested in the platform and its features. Our approach prioritizes creating real value and building a loyal community, avoiding tactics that bring short-term activity (fund hunters) but no long-term engagement.
  • Community Growth: A steady presence on social media, partnerships, and events to keep things engaging.

This plan lets us grow at a sustainable pace while building something unique.
If you have more ideas, we’d love to hear them!

Hey @Sidney great proposal.
I would support any building activities on Rari. Anything that has potential to bring users and excite them is a yes from me.

Any plans for including agents from Eliza platform as part of the project ? Would be killer feature like vvifu did on Solana. Making them some form of NFTs or agent coin + NFT collection is worth exploring i think.

Thank you for your kind words and response! As for your question, we’re not entirely sure yet.

Eliza is a fantastic AI agent, but we’re still considering whether it makes sense to integrate it into Rumble. Who knows? Maybe we’ll find the perfect way to make it work!

Thanks for sharing part of your strategy. Here are some thoughts and reflections about your plan:

  • Community engagement is incredibly important, especially when you want to add a project like this to a community like RARI. It’s essential to evolve along with the waves of activity and trends, maintaining a strong presence and becoming a point of reference in what you do.

  • Marketing is serious business: once you start posting and establishing consistency, it’s critical to maintain it to build credibility and reputation over time.

  • Organic growth is key, particularly as this is the first platform to do so in the RARI CHAIN. Taking this seriously will help attract early users and showcase a solid, committed project that delivers on its promises.

I’m looking forward to seeing how the proposition evolves and how questions are clarified along the way.

Thank you for your thoughtful reflections and feedback! We completely agree with your points.

Organic growth is something we value deeply because it builds a sustainable foundation for any project. Without a solid and engaged community base, even the best marketing efforts or consistent posting can feel like throwing resources into a well without results. A committed and active community is essential to give life to a platform and amplify its reach.

We also appreciate your emphasis on maintaining credibility and evolving with trends. These are aspects we’re actively prioritizing as we develop our approach. By focusing on organic growth and delivering a solid, reliable project, we aim to earn the trust of early users and create long-term value for the community, especially within the RARI ecosystem.

We’re excited to continue building, and we’ll keep evolving based on feedback like yours. Thank you for your support, and we look forward to getting more feedback from others!

We’ve just wrapped up the official introduction and tutorial video for Rumble.exchange :movie_camera: This is a must-watch for anyone looking to dive into the wild west of memes and explore our unique, and the first meme launchpad on the Rari Chain.

Thanks for your answers and explanations! You obviously have put a lot of thought and work in the platform, so I’m generally in favor of supporting your proposal.

Would be cool if you could adapt the current version with the tiered payout and some of the answers you’re already given (team size, marketing plans, liquidity management, etc.), then it’s a really comprehensive proposal.

Thanks @bitblondy for your (and everyone else’s) feedback and support! I appreciate you taking the time to go through the proposal in detail.

I’ve already updated the main post with the tiered payout structure. You’ll see it reflected under the “Funding Request” section, where I’ve outlined: “We are requesting 10,000 $RARI tokens distributed across three phases.”

I’ve also updated the title to specify “three phases of funding,” which I believe is what you were referring to.

Regarding the marketing plans and other details like team size and liquidity management, you’re absolutely right—those are important aspects to include.

Unfortunately, I’m not able to edit the main post anymore, but I’ll make sure to incorporate those points in the final proposal on Tally.

Thanks again for your input—it really helps refine the proposal!

I totally agree, growth must come with the commitment of the people we are building from within and the people who are going to join. Likewise, I agree with having tiers/milestones to see how this proposal evolves, which can have a lot of potential. Everything depends on scalability, execution and commitment.

I’m extremely interested in seeing how the proposal evolves in the following weeks, you can count with my support @Sidney :))
