Proposal Title:
RRC-51: Establishment of the Rarible Creator Fund Working Group
Author:
Forexus (on behalf of the RARI DAO Community)
Date:
September 22, 2025
Abstract
This proposal adjusts the original establishment of the Rarible Creator Fund Working Group to incorporate selected community delegates, a defined rotation schedule for inclusivity and continuity, and refinements based on forum discussions. The Working Group will operationalize the Rarible Creator Fund Program by reviewing grant applications (ranging from $2,500 to $20,000), approving incentives for NFT creators launching on the Rarible marketplace, monitoring performance metrics (e.g., NFT sales volume, user engagement), and providing quarterly reports to the RARI DAO. The structure expands to 5 members initially (2 fixed and 3 delegates) to address low nomination volume while aligning with DAO governance principles of transparency, expertise, and merit-based participation. No budget is requested beyond the existing RRC-48 allocation. Upon approval, the group will launch immediately with an onboarding call.
Motivation
The Rarible Creator Fund Program (RRC-48) aims to bolster the NFT ecosystem by incentivizing creators, but requires a dedicated operational body for effective execution. Forum discussions highlighted the need for expert curation, clear grant criteria, and staggered rotations to prevent burnout and incorporate diverse perspectives. With only a handful of strong nominations (@forexus, @jarisjames, @sohobiit), expanding the initial delegate count ensures immediate momentum while allowing rotations. This adjustment meets RARI Foundation standards by formalizing the proposal with structured sections, emphasizing measurable outcomes, and mitigating risks like disengagement through volunteer prestige and DAO oversight. It promotes community involvement, aligns with merit-based governance, and supports ecosystem growth without additional costs.
Proposal Details
Working Group Structure
Composition: 5 members total for the initial 12-month program term.
Fixed Members (Non-Rotating):
Anna Riabokon (RARI Foundation Team Lead) – Provides administrative and compliance expertise.
Jonathan Colón (Rarible VP of Growth) – Ensures alignment with Rarible Protocol tools and business development.
Delegates (Rotating):
@forexus (Anchor delegate with 5+ years in Web3/NFTs, artist/collector background, proven Rarible advocacy; no conflicts).
@jarisjames (Curation and artist sourcing expert; aligned with creator economy; committed to 5-10 hours/month).
@sohobiit (Execution and innovation focus; brings fresh ideas from forum endorsements).
Selection Basis: Delegates selected via forum consensus from nominations, prioritizing expertise in NFTs/creator economy, DAO engagement, and absence of conflicts. Future rotations will use open forum calls, with eligibility based on the same criteria.
Term Length: Delegates serve 6-9 months, with staggered rotations to maintain at least 2 active delegates alongside fixed members.
Requirements for All Members:
Expertise in creator economy/NFTs (e.g., content creation, curation, Web3 projects).
5-10 hours/month commitment.
No conflicts of interest (disclosed quarterly).
Diversity encouraged in geography, background, and skills.
Roles and Responsibilities
Review and approve grant applications using a transparent scoring rubric (e.g., potential for sell-outs, secondary volume, innovation).
Monitor KPIs (e.g., NFT launches, engagement, fund ROI) via Rarible tools.
Produce quarterly reports to the RARI DAO, including recommendations and community feedback integration.
Collaborate with Rarible Protocol for technical support.
Onboarding: RARI Foundation-led, including DAO tool training and compliance (e.g., KYC for grantees if required).
Rotation Schedule
The program spans 12 months, divided into four quarters (Q1-Q4, assuming 3 months each). Rotations ensure continuity while allowing rest and new input:
Q1 (Months 1-3): @jarisjames and @forexus (with fixed members Anna Riabokon and Jonathan Colón). @sohobiit on standby.
Thank you @Forexus for this initiative . I envision it as the beginning of something very interesting to build together with the community, the RARI ecosystem, and the delegates as a whole.
I’m applying to be part of this Working Group in this first phase and stage, contributing to growing the movement. I have experience in the creator economy and the NFT ecosystem, as well as a commitment to dedicate 5–10 hours a month, and, of course, without conflicts of interest.
I’d like to hear your next steps. I look forward to hearing your comments.
I would like to nominate @forexus for the delegate seat on the CF Working Group.
Ser Forexus has continually demonstrated commitment to Rarible and the RARI DAO, and is one of the most engaged community members and delegates. He also possesses all the necessary requirements to fulfill this role, with extensive experience in content creation and a vast expertise in the NFT space.
As one of the most qualified people for the role, I believe he firmly deserves a seat on the inaugural composition of the working group.
What is the definition of a ‘delegate’ in this case? Anyone who has RARI delegated to them? It would be nice to outline clearly what and who qualifies as a delegate in the context of applying for a seat in this working group.
How will the election be carried out for the 2 open seats? A Tally vote?
Is there any compensation involved with these roles? While the time commitment is not that high, there is always a risk of disengagement and burn when roles such as this are uncompensated.
We would love to work together with delegates who are active in our DAO. If this person isn’t a part of the Delegate Cohort 3, but has the skills and got some voting power, we’re definately open to that.
Very simple, here on the forum. We’ll see who is interested, start with 2 delegates from there, and rotate them with other delegates who want to participate in this, throughout the program.
No, this will be a collaborative effort between the Rari Foundation, DAO and Rarible.
I would like to strongly recommend @forexus for the Rarible Creator Fund Working Group.
As an artist, collector, and long-time NFT enthusiast, he has been deeply involved with Rarible and the broader ecosystem for years. Nobody understands the creator economy and the Rarible community better than him. His dominance on rarible.fun — both as a trader and through his outstanding collections — speaks for itself.
It is extremely important that the selection for this Working Group is done properly. We have seen in previous iterations of similar programs how damaging it can be if someone without the right background or relevant experience becomes part of the organizational team. That risk should be avoided at all costs, and that’s exactly why someone like Forexus is the right fit — he brings credibility, hands-on knowledge, and proven commitment.
In my opinion, Forexus should not just be part of the rotation cycle as outlined in the proposal, but rather a constant presence throughout the entire program. His expertise, consistency, and dedication make him the ideal person to ensure the Creator Fund is executed in the most impactful and transparent way.
On a personal note, I have participated in every rewards program so far and consistently ranked in the top 3 wallets. I’ve also spent countless hours brainstorming with Forexus on program ideas, and I can confidently say he brings both vision and execution to the table. If further support is needed, I’ll be more than happy to contribute as well.
This program has the potential to truly strengthen the Rarible ecosystem — but only if it is run by the right people. I truly believe Forexus is the best choice for this role, and his leadership will be a major asset to both the DAO and the creator community.
I agree that @forexus is the right fit for the Creator Fund Working Group, his track record and commitment speak for itself.
I’d also like to nominate myself to join this first rotation. I already collaborate closely with Forexus and have started curating projects organically, including a direct connection with the creator of Mibera, one of the top-selling projects on Berachain. I’m ready to commit the required time each month, identify top artists across chains, and support the BD needed to bring highly sought-after creators to launch on RaribleFUN.
I’ve been active in web 3 for almost 5 years, explored a wide variety of niches and communities and build up a brand for myself. Besides going to much in to detail about myself, I want to keep it short!
I’ve been on and around Rairble since the start of my journey, i’ve seen it flourish, i’ve also whitnessed the evolution towards a multi-chain marketplace. The most important thing now will be attracting top creators, brand and projects towards the Rarible FUN marketplace. Once we manage to do that, facilitate successfull launches, most likely we’ll be attracting a large share of users of the chains they’re launching on, towards our marketplace.
It will be important that creators, projects and brands have that potential, and that’s exactly why I want to be in this working group, to curate and help towards a successful Rarible FUN launch.
After thoroughly reviewing all comments and applications, it is evident that there is a significant need for structured curation within our program. The primary objective is to curate projects, creators, and brands, evaluating their ability to achieve measurable outcomes for Rarible FUN and the DAO, such as selling out their projects and generating secondary market volume. Given that we received only three applications, I propose the following schedule for the curation program:
To ensure a smooth start, we will schedule an onboarding call next week with all five working group members to discuss and refine the selection criteria for grant allocation. As grants range from $2,500 to $20,000, establishing clear and precise criteria will be critical to the program’s success.
I look forward to our collaboration and the impactful results we will achieve together
I fully support this well defined plan to proceed with the ideal candidates and schedules for participation. All the committee members, including yourself, @jarisjames and @sohobiit exhibit the right skill sets and commitment for a very successful program. I’m looking forward to your fantastic results and outcomes for this program!
Excited to be considered by @forexus in this initiative alongside these two incredible gentlemen, and looking forward to bringing fresh ideas and execution strategies to the DAO. Thank you @coffee-crusher for your support <3
Excellent updated proposal that you’ve published on Tally. The designated individual role rotation is very well thought out along with the roles and responsibilities and timelines. A very well defined program.
