Requesting Help: Possible Fraud Case with “Stevey”

Hello Rarible team, I believe I may have been scammed in a transaction involving 0.05 ETH. The funds were sent to wallet address 0x7b44bFa61e858f3a5CAc4F3052Bf114CF26b75c9, under guidance from someone named “Stevey,” who claimed to be a Rarible staff member via Discord. They were mediating a deal involving my Bitfolklore NFT collection. After sending the ETH, I received no payment for my NTF or response, and attempts to follow up failed. I have screenshots of the Discord conversation and blockchain transaction. The wallet was also flagged via the Etherscan scam report form. Please advise whether this user is officially affiliated with Rarible or how I can proceed to protect my account and report the issue further.

 Thank you so much for any help.

Sorry to hear that you have been scammed.

This is not the right place to post these kind of things, we have discord servers and Raribles Helpdesk where you should reach out with these kind of issues.

To make a long story short, you have been scammed by an imposter who pretended to be from Rarible Staff. If anyone reaches out through DM, claiming that they want to buy your NFT, be aware that 100% of them are scammers. They can pretend to be President Donald Trump, but they can also pretend to be staff members from your favourite marketplace.

In this case I recommend to not speak with people in DM who claim that they want to buy your NFT. Everyone can just purchase your NFT for the listed price with 2 clicks on the mouse on the official marketplace, obviously you are getting scammed if people lure you away from that.

Stay safe out there and please reach out in the Discord Server if you want to chat with us about this, we are here to help and keep you safe:
