OnlineOcean / Rarible Protocol

TLDR

Everyone makes money on this model and Rarible and OnlineOcean!

Rarible – Pushing up sales and fee earnings, free advertising of NFTs placed on Rarible on a separate platform, additional functionality for Rarible users, sale of NFTs of artists who are neither on the first pages in the search nor on the main page.

OnlineOcean – Importing NFTs placed on Rarible to our platform via the API, thereby increasing the offer and filling the platform with existing NFTs. In addition, any user can take their NFT, which has already been created on Rarible, and pack it in a Random Box on OnlineOcean. We will earn extra money for packing items into boxes.

We want to create a marketplace that will have a simple Random Box toolkit that will work well for both artists and GameFi games. Only Binance NFT has such functionality, but it is closed to everyone, and it’s unlikely that it will be opened.

We also want to do collaborations with Rarible – a user will be able to add their NFT located on Rarible to our box and sell it randomly with game mechanics. This will allow artists to sell their work faster and not get lost in a large number of NFTs.

Another important part of our project will be a section dedicated to in-games items and characters, which also goes very well with the Random Box mechanics.

In addition to the above, we give the opportunity for any artists regardless of their fame or popularity to post and sell their NFTs directly on OnlineOcean.

Problem / Opportunity

The problem of all marketplaces is that when a new user places their NFT such user appears at the very bottom of the marketplace, which many talented artists don’t like and leave such platforms. Thanks to our Random Box functionality, however, any artist can pack their works in a box and put them up for sale at a fixed price with game mechanics.

Both rare and common items are allowed. Competition among boxes will be less even purely mathematically because there will be many items in each box.

Rarible Protocol will get constant advertising of their NFTs on our platform – we will take existing NFTs via the API and place them on our platform. This will allow us to attract the first customers, while Rarible Protocol will be increasing sales on an ongoing basis. Users will also be able to pack their works placed on Rarible into boxes and place them on OnlineOcean. Rarible gets an increase in sales (fee earnings) and free advertising, while we get our fee for packing works in the box.

Funding Milestones and Payments

User story is made – DONE

Design is completed – DONE

A Back-End Programmer is hired – DONE

A Front-End Programmer is hired – DONE

Team Lead – is part of the main team, no need to hire – DONE

Product Manager – is part of the team, no need to hire – DONE

We need one more Back-End Programmer – currently searching

We also need one Solidity Programmer – currently searching

We start making Front End – $7,000 (about 1-1.5 months)

We start making Back End – $25,000 (about 2.5 months)

QA testing – $5,000 (about 1 month)

Thus, we need $37,000 for this project – for a team of 7 (3 Back-End Programmers, 1 Front-End Programmer, 1 Team Lead, 1 Product Manager, 1 QA Manager)

Payment Stages

$7,000 – Front End
$20,000 – Back End
$10,000 – Back End and QA

Payments to be made to the following Ethereum address – 0x4bEC812e12EFD4d7A4eF94d2d67Fd62e6818781B

We consider ourselves independent contractors of the Rarible DAO and will report taxes accordingly. Forms W8-BEN and W9 will be filled out accordingly before funds get distributed to our team.

Use of funds

The money will be used to hire 3 Back End Developers, 1 Front End Developer, 1 QA Manager, and payment for our Team Lead and Product Manager for 30 hours a week to manage the project.

Business Model

We will work in the Rarible ecosystem, pull NFTs via the API to our platform, and use the Rarible API for all functionality on the OnlineOcean.io website. We will also develop our own Random Box functionality and open our code in Open Source.

We have a well-coordinated team of great developers who are able to complete such a project.

Another important point is that we have been cooperating with some of the developers for several years now, and we are used to working together in a comfortable way.

Andrey will be the contact person for this project.

Accountability

Our project will attend weekly community calls, and provide updates on our milestones as we make progress. In the event that we can’t fulfil our commitment, funds will be returned to Rarible DAO. We will also work with community members to ensure updates are distributed through the Rarible communication channels.

Why should Rarible DAO fund this?

First of all, this means the development of the Rarible Protocol ecosystem – there will be a fully functional marketplace that will take NFTs by the API and place them on their own platform, plus there will be a unique Random Box functionality.

This allows everyone to earn money!

Rarible boosts their sales and advertises their NFTs for free with OnlineOcean.

OnlineOcean makes money by packing NFTs created on Rarible in Random Boxes.
