ABOUT

LAD is a governance-focused organization dedicated to advancing public goods infrastructure and creator-aligned ecosystems. We have extensive experience in the Web3 ecosystem, particularly in administration, operations, and decentralized coordination.

Our governance journey began in Arbitrum DAO, where we engaged in proposal discussions and on-chain voting for over six months, reinforcing our commitment to transparent, community-driven decision-making. This experience led us to participate in DAOs that uphold strong values, such as RARI DAO.

We were introduced to RARI DAO through an upgrade proposal on the Arbitrum Forum, which aligned with our own mission and governance values. We look forward to collaborating with the Foundation, delegates, and the broader community to enhance RARI’s role in shaping on-chain creative economies.

At LAD, we approach delegation thoughtfully and participatively, prioritizing informed decision-making, community input, and transparency in our reasoning. Each vote reflects our commitment to technical understanding and the collective good.

GOVERNANCE PRINCIPLES

Three core tenets guide our framework:

  • Transparency and Accountability

All votes and rationales from LAD will be publicly accessible. We believe that delegates must remain accountable to the communities they serve, ensuring that our reasoning and contributions can always be reviewed and questioned.

  • Collective Intelligence

We view governance not as a competition of ideas, but as a collaboration of perspectives. LAD’s internal processes prioritize discussion and consensus, ensuring that our votes reflect well-rounded and multifaceted decisions.

  • Sustainable Coordination

We support structures that balance operational efficiency with community involvement, allowing RARI DAO to remain agile while maintaining its decentralized nature.

MOTIVATION & GOALS FOR RARI DAO

LAD is drawn to RARI DAO because it exemplifies values-driven governance and creator empowerment, and also represents the next stage of decentralized ownership, where creators, collectors, and builders shape the rules that define their shared economy.

As a delegate, LAD is dedicated to advancing this mission by supporting the sustainable growth of the RARI Chain ecosystem. Our focus is on improving scalability, enhancing network utility, and building a vibrant community of developers. Our team will engage in governance discussions to ensure that our decisions reflect the community’s voice and stay true to the principles of the DAO. We believe in safeguarding creator value and royalties while also encouraging decentralization and widespread adoption. We are bullish on collaborating with other DAOs to share insights and best practices that can help RARI DAO evolve.

DISCLOSURE

LAD members are involved in governance across multiple DAOs and Layer 2 ecosystems. When potential conflicts of interest arise, we will openly disclose them and, when necessary, abstain from voting to maintain transparency and trust.

We also value cross-governance learning. Insights gained from our participation in other DAOs, such as Arbitrum and Layer 2 communities, will inform our contributions to RARI DAO, ensuring our actions consistently support the DAO’s mission and community interests.

JULY

Voted: FOR

Rationale
We voted FOR this proposal because it helps maintain a baseline of delegate quality and prevents passive participation. Once delegates know that their efforts will be recognized and rewarded reliably, planning and participation will be done with better quality.

AUGUST

Voted: FOR

Rationale:
We voted FOR this proposal because it leverages the marketing power and audience of established creators to the benefit of the protocol ecosystem.

SEPTEMBER

Voted: FOR

Rationale:
We voted FOR this proposal because the 2% seller / 0% buyer model is a pragmatic and effective adjustment that modernises fee structure and keeps value circulating within the ecosystem.

Voted: ABSTAIN

Rationale:
We abstained because the circumstances around the proposal, discussions, and voting were unclear.

OCTOBER

Voted: FOR

Rationale:
We voted FOR this proposal because it increases the chances for the sustainability of the DAO by creating a recurring revenue stream rather than relying on external funding or one-off mechanisms alone.

Voted: FOR

Rationale:
Hosting a gallery event in Manhattan enhances Rarible’s visibility among artists and collectors, reinforcing its position as one of the best marketplaces in this space. Also, the cost-to-impact ratio makes this worth backing.
