Establishment of the Creator Fund Working Group

Proposal Title
Establishment of the Rarible Creator Fund Working Group

Proposer
Forexus

Abstract
Based on the Rarible Creator Fund Program (RRC-48), which focuses on incentivizing creators in the NFT space through funding and support, this new proposal outlines the formation of a dedicated Working Group to operationalize the program. The Working Group will handle application reviews, fund distribution, performance monitoring, and ecosystem feedback. This builds directly on RRC-48’s emphasis on creator incentives, ensuring transparent and expert-led implementation. The RARI Foundation will assist with onboarding and rotation of members to maintain freshness and inclusivity.

Objectives

  • Form a specialized Working Group to manage the day-to-day operations of the Rarible Creator Fund Program as outlined in RRC-48.
  • Ensure fair, efficient, and informed distribution of incentives to creators launching NFTs on Rarible.
  • Promote expertise in the creator economy and NFT space to align with the program’s goals of ecosystem growth.
  • Facilitate periodic rotation of members to incorporate diverse perspectives and prevent stagnation.

Key Components

  • Working Group Structure:
    • Composition: 4 members, a Rari Foundation Team member (Anna Riabokon), Rarible’s VP of Growth (Jonathan Colón) and 2 delegates which will be rotated throughout the program.
    • Selection Process: Open nominations via the RARI DAO forum. Candidates must submit a statement of interest and qualifications.
    • Term Length: 3-6 months per member, with staggered rotations (e.g., 1-2 members rotate every 3 months) to ensure continuity.
  • Requirements for Participants:
    • Demonstrated knowledge of the creator economy (e.g., experience in content creation, digital art, or Web3 projects).
    • Expertise in the NFT space (e.g., prior involvement in NFT minting, marketplaces, or blockchain-based creativity tools).
    • Commitment to at least 5-10 hours per month for reviews and meetings.
    • No conflicts of interest (e.g., must disclose any affiliations with competing platforms).
  • Roles and Responsibilities:
    • Review and approve creator applications for fund incentives (e.g., grants for NFT launches on Rarible).
    • Monitor program performance, including metrics like NFT launches, user engagement, and fund utilization.
    • Provide quarterly reports to the RARI DAO on fund impact and recommendations for adjustments.
    • Collaborate with the Rarible Protocol team for technical integration.
  • Onboarding and Rotation Support:
    • The RARI Foundation will handle onboarding, including training on DAO tools, program guidelines, and compliance (e.g., KYC if needed for fund distribution).
    • Rotation will be managed by the Foundation, with automated reminders and nomination calls to ensure smooth transitions. Eligible candidates meeting requirements will be prioritized, with diversity in geography and expertise encouraged.
  • Timeline:
    • Week 1-2: Nominations and elections for initial members.
    • Month 1: Onboarding by RARI Foundation and first meeting.
    • Ongoing: Quarterly reviews; first rotation at Month 3.
    • Duration: Initial 12 months.

Risks and Mitigations

  • Risk: Low participation – Mitigation: Promote via Rarible channels and X (@rarifoundation).
  • Risk: Bias in reviews – Mitigation: Require transparent scoring rubrics and DAO oversight.
  • Risk: Delays in rotation – Mitigation: Foundation-led automation and backups.

This proposal ensures the Rarible Creator Fund Program (RRC-48) is executed effectively, leveraging community expertise while relying on the RARI Foundation for administrative support. Vote “For” to empower creators and strengthen the NFT ecosystem.

In a nutshell, this will be a collaborative effort between the Rari Foundation, DAO and Rarible. Do you want to be part of the working group, nominate yourself or others below in the comment section and don’t forget to look at the Requirements for Participants section above while nominating.

Thank you @Forexus for this initiative :raised_hands:. I envision it as the beginning of something very interesting to build together with the community, the RARI ecosystem, and the delegates as a whole.

I’m applying to be part of this Working Group in this first phase and stage, contributing to growing the movement. I have experience in the creator economy and the NFT ecosystem, as well as a commitment to dedicate 5–10 hours a month, and, of course, without conflicts of interest.

I’d like to hear your next steps. I look forward to hearing your comments. :rocket:

I would like to nominate @forexus for the delegate seat on the CF Working Group.

Ser Forexus has continually demonstrated commitment to Rarible and the RARI DAO, and is one of the most engaged community members and delegates. He also possesses all the necessary requirements to fulfill this role, with extensive experience in content creation and a vast expertise in the NFT space.

As one of the most qualified people for the role, I believe he firmly deserves a seat on the inaugural composition of the working group.

A few questions here as well:

  1. What is the definition of a ‘delegate’ in this case? Anyone who has RARI delegated to them? It would be nice to outline clearly what and who qualifies as a delegate in the context of applying for a seat in this working group.

  2. How will the election be carried out for the 2 open seats? A Tally vote?

  3. Is there any compensation involved with these roles? While the time commitment is not that high, there is always a risk of disengagement and burn when roles such as this are uncompensated.

We would love to work together with delegates who are active in our DAO. If this person isn’t a part of the Delegate Cohort 3, but has the skills and got some voting power, we’re definately open to that.

Very simple, here on the forum. We’ll see who is interested, start with 2 delegates from there, and rotate them with other delegates who want to participate in this, throughout the program.

No, this will be a collaborative effort between the Rari Foundation, DAO and Rarible.

I would like to strongly recommend @forexus for the Rarible Creator Fund Working Group.

As an artist, collector, and long-time NFT enthusiast, he has been deeply involved with Rarible and the broader ecosystem for years. Nobody understands the creator economy and the Rarible community better than him. His dominance on rarible.fun — both as a trader and through his outstanding collections — speaks for itself.

It is extremely important that the selection for this Working Group is done properly. We have seen in previous iterations of similar programs how damaging it can be if someone without the right background or relevant experience becomes part of the organizational team. That risk should be avoided at all costs, and that’s exactly why someone like Forexus is the right fit — he brings credibility, hands-on knowledge, and proven commitment.

In my opinion, Forexus should not just be part of the rotation cycle as outlined in the proposal, but rather a constant presence throughout the entire program. His expertise, consistency, and dedication make him the ideal person to ensure the Creator Fund is executed in the most impactful and transparent way.

On a personal note, I have participated in every rewards program so far and consistently ranked in the top 3 wallets. I’ve also spent countless hours brainstorming with Forexus on program ideas, and I can confidently say he brings both vision and execution to the table. If further support is needed, I’ll be more than happy to contribute as well.

This program has the potential to truly strengthen the Rarible ecosystem — but only if it is run by the right people. I truly believe Forexus is the best choice for this role, and his leadership will be a major asset to both the DAO and the creator community.

I agree that @forexus is the right fit for the Creator Fund Working Group, his track record and commitment speak for itself.

I’d also like to nominate myself to join this first rotation. I already collaborate closely with Forexus and have started curating projects organically, including a direct connection with the creator of Mibera, one of the top-selling projects on Berachain. I’m ready to commit the required time each month, identify top artists across chains, and support the BD needed to bring highly sought-after creators to launch on RaribleFUN.

Thank you @dzonson.eth @jarisjames and @Sixty for the great words, I would love to be part of this working group!

I’ve been active in web 3 for almost 5 years, explored a wide variety of niches and communities and build up a brand for myself. Besides going to much in to detail about myself, I want to keep it short!

I’ve been on and around Rairble since the start of my journey, i’ve seen it flourish, i’ve also whitnessed the evolution towards a multi-chain marketplace. The most important thing now will be attracting top creators, brand and projects towards the Rarible FUN marketplace. Once we manage to do that, facilitate successfull launches, most likely we’ll be attracting a large share of users of the chains they’re launching on, towards our marketplace.

It will be important that creators, projects and brands have that potential, and that’s exactly why I want to be in this working group, to curate and help towards a successful Rarible FUN launch.
