Abstract

This proposal is submitted to support the Rari Foundation, Rarible and eight of its most promising ecosystem partners in driving more market awareness, adoption, and revenue. It requests funding for their participation in SI<3>’s Grow3dge Accelerator and Rari Showcase. Grow3dge is a 10-week growth-focused program running from August 7 – October 9, designed to help projects launch public-facing campaigns and programs and deepen their impact across their parent ecosystems.

Grow3dge offers each participant structured pathways to learn, collaborate, and grow alongside 22 womxn educators and operators from organizations like Uniswap, Zerion, Adobe, Stellar, Ledger, Serotonin, Dune analytics, and many more. SI<3> is also offering a ‘Rari Showcase’ LinkedIn Live event with Rari’s Grow3dge participants sharing their projects and ways to onboard into the Rari ecosystem.

In addition to participation in the Grow3dge accelerator, this proposal extends the opportunity to invite 35 womxn in Web3 communities within our collaborative to create and list NFT collections on Rarible.

Throught the activities in this proposal, Rari Foundation and its ecosystem partners will gain valuable tools, strategies, and relationships, while onboarding new NFT collections onto Rarible through SI<3>’s womxn’s community network with over a 1 mln collective reach.

Thanks for your proposal, the idea is cool, and the budget seems reasonable to me. Is this proposal supposed to be for one iteration of the program, or including following ones as well?

And could somebody confirm this proposal was developed together with the RARI foundation and Rarible? The budget breakdown seems to suggest, that it will be paid by the foundation and not the DAO.

If you’d like to present in one of the community calls, that would also be appreciated.

I second @bitblondy, this would be great to hear more about on the call if you are available.
Seems reasonable but would love to hear more.

yes great, will be there on Tues!

Thank you for your feedback and question @bitblondy! This proposal is for our current cohort of the Grow3dge program, which runs for 10 weeks starting in August, and then includes a LinkedIn Live showcase for Rari post-accelerator.

I am not totally sure regarding the payment structure, as I was thinking it was from the creator fund of the DAO. I will be on Tuesday’s DAO call, and it would be great to discuss further.

Thank you so much, @si_karahoward for bringing this very interesting proposal to the RARI DAO. I really do like the objective of this proposal to onboard new NFT collections through SI<3>'s womxn’s community network and to enhance the RARI token awareness and governance participation via delegated staking.

I did have a couple of questions that maybe you can address in Governance overflow call later today, specifically:

  1. Cross-Ecosystem Learnings & Prior Outcomes: Given that you’re also starting to engage with another ecosystem on a similar Grow3dge Accelerator, and to help us understand the potential impact, are there any specific learnings, best practices, or challenges anticipated from that engagement or other completed Grow3dge Accelerator programs that you can leverage or address to maximize the impact of the program for RARI Foundation and its ecosystem partners? Could you also share any public links or reports to the outcomes and success measurements of those prior Grow3dge Accelerator programs (if this information is not confidential)?

  2. Specific KPIs & Tracking for RARI: Beyond the 1,000 registrants, could you elaborate on more specific, measurable key performance indicators (KPIs) that will be tracked for ‘measurable marketplace activity’ on Rarible and how it will improve RARI token awareness and deeper governance participation? For example, are there targets for the number of new NFT collections listed, total transaction volume attributed to program participants, or a measurable increase in RARI staking/delegation from new participants?

  3. Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Have you identified any potential risks or challenges that could impede the program’s success for the RARI ecosystem (e.g., lower-than-expected community participation, NFT listing rates, or RARI staking)? If so, what are your proposed mitigation strategies for these risks?

  4. Post-Program Support: Will there be any continued support, resources, or follow-up initiatives provided to the RARI ecosystem partners after the 10-week accelerator concludes to help them maintain their momentum and long-term growth?

  5. Detailed Fund Allocation: Could you provide a more detailed breakdown of how the $10,000 in RARI will be utilized? For example, beyond the $1,000 per partner seat and the $2,000 for the LinkedIn Live showcase, what are the primary cost components for the remaining funds within the team’s operational expenses specifically for this RARI program?

  6. Clarity on Incentive Rollout: Could you provide a more precise timeline for the second proposal in September/October for the $500 RARI community incentives per NFT collection? Is there a specific target or projection for the number of communities you anticipate will create and list new NFT collections on Rarible through this incentive?

I enjoyed meeting you and everyone on the DAO call today! And thank you for these thoughtful questions. Here are my responses for your review:

  1. This is the first cohort of the Grow3dge Accelerator program, but we have hosted multiple training programs in the past. This includes a 6-month financial inclusion working group for orgs with grant programs, and also multiple partner workshps (see testimonials for those in the main post). We also participated in the Open Campus accelerator ourselves, and where I was a mentor, and extrapolated learnings and structure from theres. The biggest learning as a part of all of these is that people in Web3 are very busy, and their time is a precious asset. So it is very important to have multiple channels for engagement wtih them in any program or opportunity, which is why we have multiple access points for engagement within the accelerator including:
  • Telegram group for all educators and participants with community moderation
  • Weekly email newsletter for program updates and highlights
  • Access to our SI University LMS, where replays and highlights of our sessions will be available
  • Custom AI learning agent for knowledge sharing and match-making
  1. Regarding growth targets for new NFT collections listed on Rarible, I have started soft-sounding our community leaders and they are expressing interest in creating these collections. I’m targeting a 20 new NFT collections, and when we reach the first 10 we will submit for those incentives to be distributed to those leaders that have created collections. So KPI’s around this include:
  • 10-20 new NFT collections on Rarible
  • 10-20 new RARI delegates and active participants in the DAO
  1. The general risks I have experienced, as mentioned in point #1, is in the value of people’s time and energy. I have addressed this risk related to the accelerator in point #1. Regarding risks related to the potential for low engagement/participation in NFT listings, we will add this initiative into the LMS where our members are able to access all of our content, and we will keep this opportunity active in our weekly newsletters until we reach the 20 NFT collection target!

  2. We will be hosting the ‘Rari Live’ LinkedIn Live post-accelerator, where the accelerated Rari projects will be able to showcase their progress to new adopters in addition to potential new investors. It would be great to also invite the accelerator participants to also engage within the Rari DAO if they aren’t already and sharing their project updates, in support of creating more of a unified ecosystem.

  3. It is $1k per project, and there are 10 projects, so that’s $10k USD. But we are offering a discounted package for $8k. This goes towards the many hours of our team’s preparation, organization, and execution of the accelerator program. The additional $2k is going towards the execution of the ‘Rari Live’ LinkedIn Live showcase and the costs for production and marketing that showcase.

  4. Regarding the NFT collection timeline, we will be working with Unlock Protocol to integrate Rari chain in August, which will give communities more opportunities to create different NFT collection types that are relevant to them, including memberships, events, and certifications: check out their products here: State of Unlock. While that integration is underway, we will be inviting the community leaders to start formulating the collections they would like to create, and then begin to create them in September/October. Please see my projections on new community leader NFT listings above!

Having been part of the financial inclusion working group and working closely with Kara, I have nothing but praise for her and her team.

The programs and workshops they run are truly informative and value-additive to all participants involved, and I would highly recommend the RARI Foundation to participate in the Grow3dge Accelerator.

The only change I would request is an adjustment to the RARI Ecosystem partners. A list from the Foundation with fewer, more strategic partners would be more valuable, especially if the budget can be adjusted.

In regards to this proposal, I will NOT be supporting it.

My rationale:
While I’m always up for initiatives that foster education, I don’t really see how this will truly move the needle for the RARI DAO current plans.

  • This proposal helps many partners. But the main goal should be boosting Rarible and the Rarible Protocol. It’s not clear these partners will truly bring more activity directly to us.
  • Offering $500 in RARI for NFT listings doesn’t seem enough for lasting use. Looks doubtful that communities will keep using Rarible long-term.
  • The “Rari Showcase” on LinkedIn. While visibility is ok, I don’t believe LinkedIn is where our target NFT users and builders are looking. We need to reach the right people to drive protocol and marketplace use.

So, while the idea of education is positive, I just don’t see enough good reasons in this proposal that show it will significantly help us push Rari DAO goals forward.

I support this proposal.

This program is a smart way to activate new communities while deepening RARI ecosystem participation. The structure is lean, the budget is reasonable, and the potential to surface high-quality contributors and delegates makes it a worthwhile investment. Excited to see it move forward.

Hi @si_karahoward,

Thank you so much for putting together the proposal!

After speaking with a few of the ecosystem partners, it sounds like there’s limited interest in participating at this time. Given that, I don’t think it makes sense to move forward with sponsorship on their behalf right now.

Rarible also shared that they don’t offer rewards for drops, but they’re happy to help promote collections via their social channels—especially for communities looking to boost visibility through curated collections.

That said, I still see value in the Foundation/DAO participating directly. It could be a great opportunity to attract new delegates and engage with other projects in the space. It might be worth refining the proposal with just our sponsorship in mind.

It has been proven—whether over the long or short term, depending on how you look at it—that in Web3, collaboration is almost everything. Of course, having a solid team and a good product or service is essential, but what Kara is proposing feels like a disruptive initiative, especially at this stage of where we are in Web3. It also brings visibility to more women, which I find powerful.

I want to express my support for causes where value-driven marketing intersects with NFTs and new ways of onboarding mainstream audiences.

With a few adjustments—specifically a clear and achievable strategy and a realistic delivery timeline—I’ll be in favor.

UPDATED PROPOSAL: July 26th

Abstract

  • Governance alignment: Participants are encouraged to explore staking RARI and delegating, increasing DAO engagement from committed ecosystem partners.

Clarification

While the Grow3dge Accelerator features experienced educators, their role here is less about traditional instruction and more about acting as high-trust connectors within their ecosystems. The projects participating in the accelerator are already in our network, which creates a natural opportunity to deepen those relationships.

Through their involvement, we aim to open the door for organizations like Uniswap, Unlock Protocol, Zerion, Ledger and more to engage closely with RARI DAO; potentially by participating in governance and onboarding as Delegates. Doing so would require them to stake $2K worth of RARI, which directly aligns their communities with ours and helps grow participation from respected orgs across Web3.

Rather than ending with education alone, this approach plants seeds for long-term alignment, reputation, and reach for the DAO.

I fully support this revised proposal and I will be voting “yes”, as not only is the cost a minimal risk, but I think the rewards are so much greater to introduce and build relationships with new individual participants and projects. In my opinion, it’s a “win-win” for both the indivs participating in this program and for RARI.

What really resonated for me, was this inclusion in the revised proposal was the “long-term alignment”. This proposal in my opinion, is the right type of projects that the DAO should be supporting, where there are mutual benefits to both the DAO and the project.
