Contributor Cards Are Now on RARI Chain Mainnet - daospace Update

We’re thrilled to share that Contributor Cards are now live on RARI Chain! :tada:

You can check out the smart contract here: RARI Chain Explorer. This contract ensures 10% royalties on all sales go directly to the contributor the card represents. Currently, this feature is live on our local app version and will roll out to the official app (daospace.ai) next week after we complete thorough testing of the new marketplace feature.

Contributor Cards are fully interactive 3D assets, and since most marketplaces don’t prioritize 3D models, we built our own marketplace from scratch to ensure an exceptional user experience.

Here’s What You Need to Know:

  • 31 Contributors from RARI DAO have been whitelisted to launch collections. Their AI-generated summaries, created from an analysis of all their forum posts (August 2021 - October 31, 2024), are featured on the back of their cards. Full details are listed below in this thread.
  • Creating Your Collection:
The process is simple and fee-free:
    1. Visit the Claim page.
    2. Upload your preferred image for the front of the card.
    3. Click “Create Collection.”

This pins the metadata to IPFS, enabling lazy minting (no gas fees) when purchased on the marketplace. Metadata includes:

  • Contributor’s wallet address (logged during sign-in).
  • The .glb 3D file for rendering.
  • A max value of 100 (first edition cards are rare!).
  • Unique Token ID, based on engagement within the forum (e.g., @Jaf, the most active member, receives Token ID #1).

For transparency, the current smart contract shows my address as Token ID #1 for testing purposes. A new, identical contract will be deployed for the official app.

  • Marketplace Features:
Once pinned to IPFS, your Contributor Card will automatically appear in the marketplace (/contributorcards). Users can view, rotate, and read the card’s back for details. Each card’s initial price is 0.000369 ETH, keeping them affordable. Buyers can relist cards for any price afterward.

Royalties and Perks:

Royalties are automatically enforced, with 10% of each sale going directly to the contributor’s wallet in perpetuity.

Card ownership comes with perks like ad space on daospace, enabling cardholders to promote events or make announcements to the broader Ethereum community, extending visibility beyond their immediate social circles. For those not interested in using the promo feature, the card’s value becomes an attractive opportunity for marketers, community managers, content creators, or small project owners looking to amplify their reach—making it a compelling asset to sell or trade.

We’re also exploring monetary rewards for cardholders, including potential $RARI airdrops—and maybe even an airdrop of our own token.

Hey @jarisjames, could you provide some context as to why only 31 contributors have been whitelisted, thanks.

Absolutely @Sixty

31 Contributors were whitelisted, because there were 31 Contributors that were consistently active on forum up until the end of 2024. The contributors that stopped engaging in the forum years prior were excluded from the whitelist.
